Goods in transit


Goods in transit through the territory of the SiCG (Republic of Serbia) shall be presented to the customs office of entry by submitting the Single Customs Document completed by a forwarder, which contains all required information regarding the goods, the owner, the carrier, the guarantor, the BCP of exit from the customs territory of the SiCG (Republic of Serbia) as well as regarding the time limit necessary to terminate transit operation. This shall not apply in the case of goods carried under TIR Carnet. All data are recorded in the Information System of the Customs Service (ISCS). Some goods are subject to specific controls (phytosanitary, veterinary etc.). The BCP confirms the exit of the goods to the customs office of entry by means of ISCS.

Persons - transit


In accordance with the Decision on specific conditions and on the ways of transfer of the means of payment, abroad and from abroad, by natural persons ("FRY OG" No 25/2002), natural persons are allowed to take out of the SiCG (Republic of Serbia) i.e. bring into the SiCG (Republic of Serbia) up to the amount of 120,000 YU dinars/per individual in 1,000 YU dinar bank notes or less.

The exception is allowed in the case when dinars, bought at the foreign bank - in larger amounts than specified above - are allowed to enter the country followed by the foreign bank certificate which is to be presented to the customs authorities on entrance.

Domestic natural person is allowed to take out cash foreign currency or travelers checks in the amount not exceeding 2000 EURO or in the counter value of other currency. Natural person is allowed to transfer the foreign currency in unlimited amounts for the financial support for their family abroad through the authorized bank. In that case the transfer should be followed by the residents permit, employment visa, scholar visa etc. as well as by the third degree relationship permit (birth certificate i.e. married certificate. If the amount exceeds 5000 EURO it is also necessary to enclose the bona fide transfer document (education, medical treatment, staying abroad without financial support).

Foreign natural persons are allowed to take out cash foreign currency up to the amount of 2000 EURO, cash foreign currency up to the amount declared on entering the SiCG (Republic of Serbia) as well as the cash foreign currency taken from the foreign currency account i.e. foreign currency saving books. On entering the country the natural person is obliged to complete the Certificate form in which he states the amount of cash foreign currency that he is going to bring into the country. The Certificate, which is endorsed by the customs authority allows the person to take out of the country the amount of cash which has not been sent, although declared. The Certificate is valid up to the first exit from the country.

The customs authorities shall temporarily confiscate dinars, cash foreign currency and checks exceeding the allowed amount as well as bonds being taken out of the country i.e. brought into the country that are illegally obtained and issue the confiscation certificate.
